I take this is very much on the back-burner these days? Here's five from pre-1939 to think about - Harry Skirrow, Walter Mackereth, Spike Rhiando, Stan Mills, Frank Chiswell.

That's a good five driver list for pre-war drivers. Maybe if we ever get beyond talking (!!!) a UK Hall of Fame should be in decades with five nominations for each era? Stan Mills is very much a name that gets scant mention on here, but in the National League period of the 1930s he was among the top points scorers. Another driver who I would like to see considered is Les White.

I take it this idea is still in the planning stage?

Absolutely agree re Les White. I think he was probably the longest running prewar driver first with his Salmson Special then with his Skirrow.

Is this UK Hall of Fame ever going to get off the ground? We have lots of chat about what is potentially a good idea but nobody seems to want, as the saying goes, 'put some meat on the bones'. Maybe a start would be just to get the immediate pre-war years dealt with, then gradually sort out the post-war decades, the 1940s, the 1950s, and so forth. Say about six nominations for each 10 year period. Howzat that sound folks?

This pot has been boiling for a long time (or just that be low simmering?). Anyway, how does this AMA (American Motorcycle Association) format for their 'Hall of Fame' look as a basis for a UK midget car HoF? I'd be interested to see responses. Obviously, nothing as grandiose as the AMA set-up, but there must be the germ of an idea in their scheme? Admin aka John Hyam, moderator, Midget Car Panorama. www.motorcyclemuseum.org/induction

Overall the motorcycle Hall of Fames looks complicated but I'm sure cleverer minds that mine can find a compromise for getting a midget car racing hall of fame started.

On the assumption that the revival of the forum is getting a response does any member have further comment on the thoughts highlighted in this thread?

This thread has been on the proverbial back burner for years now, How about some ideas to recreate what was considerable interest for a UK Hall of Fame some five or more years ago? Thinking caps on please.
