Post-war Skirrow driver turned stock car ace Wilf Davis must be a UK nomination - if this theme ever gets beyond the debate arena.

Post-war Skirrow driver turned stock car ace Wilf Davis must be a UK nomination - if this theme ever gets beyond the debate arena. By the look of things, the hot air (debate) is still going on. Is there ever going to be a firm decision on setting this up? Sadly I am not much good at organising things else I'd try to put an idea up on what is needed. It's a good idea thats getting put on the backburner sadly.

Has the forum co-ordinator made any further moves in to establishing this much needed addition to the British midget car scene please.

Does anyone know what's going on about the UK Midget HoF. It looks a good idea but I guess someone will have to kickstart the venture again. Not got that sort of expertise myself.

I once read Spike Rhiando was born in Deptford, London, and never ever saw Canada - where he claimed he was born - or the USA.

How about the possibilities of a small dedicated web site for the H.o.F? I feel sure we have the Knowhow amongst us. Any volunteers???

OK, but how could you use a section of this forum to nominate/vote/display results? I was thinking of something associated with this forum, not a seperate undertaking. possibly it could benefit from being publicly visible, and ability to display images, and voting could take place away from the main forum.

John H, Are we/you/us still interested in a hall of fame, and do you have anything planned for it?

Considering this HoF was first suggested last May - nearly 10 months ago, not very much seems to have taken place so far but it is needed very much, probably broken down into different eras of the sport.

The 'UK Hall Of Fame' should be the backbone of this group but nothing now seems to be coming forward in regard to how it should evolve and who will be the people overlooking its fortunes.

Isn't there some way that the new Polls feature on here can be introduced in regard to the Hall of Fame. There must be some sort of voting procedure that can be adapted?

Can i kickstart this? Can we have names of possible drivers for the years between 1934 and 1939? If we get enough I will then PM the administrator and ask him to set up a poll so that all members can cast their vote (and don't name Gordon Brown!). If we get 10 good names that will be a great start for that period IMO. My candidates are: Walter Mackereth, Spike Rhiando, Charlie Pashley, Les White, Jean Reville, Skid Martin, Syd Plevin, Frank Marsh, Frank Chiswell, Billy Murden.
