Besides details for the meeting at Veernord, almost certainly the next day another was held at Den Bosch (s'Hertogenbosch). Now, in the DRIVERS section there is a photo scan relevant to Joe Wildblood's trip to Holland in 1960s which mentions four meetings as taking place, Where and when were the other meetings. The scan also mentions that nine drivers were in the party which would be a compsite of four each for the America and England teams, plus Phil Bishop as reserve? Or am I getting too speculative about this triangular series?

And added attraction at Liverpool‘s last speedway meeting of the season, at Stanley Stadium on Friday, will be the appearance in a challenge match of a team of 500cc midget cars just back from a successful tour of Holland. Liverpool speedway promoter Mike Parker was asked to take a team of drivers and cars to compete against Dutch and American teams at five tracks and at each meeting they proved far superior in speed and performance to the Dutch and American 1000cc machines. Climax of the tour was the meeting at Amsterdam for the Golden helmet – the highest award on any Dutch track. A crowd of 45,000 sat for four hours in torrential rain to see an exciting battle for the trophy, which was eventually won by Mike Parker himself. The tour approved so successful that the same team has been booked for a longer tour next season, and it is planned to have the rest of the worlds top midget drivers in Holland.

Tilburg Golden Helmet (single race with the top points scorer from each country taking part)
1st Nico van Gorcum (Netherlands) 2nd Wilf Davis (USA); 3rd Joe Wildblood (England)
Nico van Gorcum subsequently won the 1961 Tilburg (Motorcycle Speedway) and Amsterdam (Motorcycle Speedway) Golden Helmets. In doing so he became the only racer to have won Dutch Golden Helmets in both disciplines, Auto Speedway and Motorcycle Speedway .
