What is known about the GPM Arrow chassis, designed by the late Bill Boarer, and raced by his son Alf, in the early 1980s. I think Alf won the 1984 world championship using an Arrow?

Alf told me recently that the car was a development of the Sidewinder... www.ovaltrack.co.uk/gpmidgets/tome/1970s/1973/1973_sidewinder.htm...and that Bill wanted to make some mods to the Sidewinder but Rick Stevens, the co-designer, did not want to do them so the Arrow was born. Alf is still about - and I was recently lucky enough to be able to send him some pics that he's not ever seen of his dad driving the Sidewinder at Ipswich in 1973. Alf is still involved in motor sport - he's a driver manager and a few years back took Giorgio Pantano into F1 so he made it to the very top level of the industry in that role.

I would love to see what one in its prime condition looked like.
