Hi everyone,i stumbled on your site while at home on sick leave this week,i,m a former "racer"myself (Grasstrack and local Rods-various classes). As a child i remember the "Midgets"at our local track-StAustell.The promoter there was Autospeed, and the cars were known as "Mighty Midgets".One of the front runners of the time was a chap called Paul Emery.I remember what must have been a couple of meetings during possibly an Easter weekend,(there were 2 meetings within a couple of days),a guest driver by the name of Woody Harris was using a v8 powered car,it was a long time ago now but as i remember he didnt make much of an impression,in the 2nd meeting Paul Emery used the v8 car and he certainly performed much better.Fond childhood memories-i didnt realise the midgets still ran-what are the rules reguarding engines etc?cheers for now PC.
