Mighty Mites of the SpeedwaysHistoric footage from the Jerry Wells Collection will take you back to the heyday of midget racing in Northern Ohio from 1938 through 1949. Featuring racing from the following tracks: Sportsman Park Speedway, Canfield Speedway, Akron Rubber Bowl, Ft. Miami Speedway, Bainbridge Speedway, Sharon Speedway, Ashland Fairgrounds, and Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Also includes out of state racing at Uniontown Speedway in Uniontown, Penn. and indoor racing in Detroit, Michigan. None of the above listed tracks exist today. Highlighting many famous drivers of this era such as Ronney Householder, Duane Carter, Al Bonnell, Mel Hansen, Wes Saegesser, Mike Little, Johnny Wohlfeil, Bill Boyd, Neal Carter, Ralph Pratt, Sam Hanks and so many others. An added bonus is footage taken at Indy in 1946 and 1951 showing cars on pit road during qualifying and race day. The quality of some of the original footage may vary because of condition, but it holds a great deal of historical value and is the only recording in existence of certain racing events. 1 hour 54 minutes, with 39 minutes black and white, balance in color and narration. You can email direct to me for contact info as I prefer to keep my email address out of the public. I received an inquiry from New Zealand regarding mailing cost it is $12.50 USD for 1st Class mail and would take a week or so for delivery.
