Why are these winners in reverse order? You usually start these lists with the oldest first and the most recent at the bottom? It doesn't match the other lists for Australia and New Zealand like this. And looking at their listings, the name of an English driver Bill Reynolds crops up as a winner three times in Oz. Wasn't he another of the midget drivers who was once a speedway rider?

Some of these world championship were staged in mainland Europe. Can anyone please identify the non-UK held title races please? The year and country is needed.

I see that a Dutch rider, Henk Hanssen, won the GP world title several times. Is that a correct spelling of his surname - the Dutch people I know have only one 's' - i.e Hansen. Can anyone clear this up.

Yes as far as I am aware Henk Hanssen is the correct spelling. The Spedeworth / MARC > GP Midget club cars have a history site here where you can pick up information about dates and venues of most races, not just the World Championships. We publish information on there when we find it. www.ovaltrack.co.uk/gpmidgets/tome/
