I have been chasing up a more complete list of "world" speedcar events than what has been listed on oldtimespeedway. The previous list did not list second and third placings and also, there were two errors.
The first was 1955, when Werner Greve was listed. He won the "Speedcar Derby" at the Exhibition Ground over 15 laps, but the word "World" was not mentioned.
Also, in 1974 on the oldtimespeedway list, there was no result from listed 1974.
9.3.74 World Cup 35 lap 1.Brian Dillon 2.Ron Wanless 3.Eric Mitchell.
All of this started when Brian rang me up to complain! You cant blame the man, but I had a chuckle to myself.
