Not sure if this is the place to post this, anyway. This is my idea of a pretty midget. It's a static 1/4 scale Gilmer Midget that I have just finished building. Body, wheels and tyres came to Sydney in 1990. That's when I first saw them. I tracked it down last year and began a rebuild with most of the original parts being aquired on a trip to the USA this year, from Jan Gilmer the original manufacturer of these cars. I frabricated the radiator, dogbox, steering box, gauges, fuel pump brake lever and decals. Offy motor by GMP. Hope you like it.

Kiwi, I'll display the car at vintage midget and model shows around Sydney. It will also be on show regularly at the Sydney Society of Model Engineers, the club I belong to and race my 1/4 scale sprintcar.
Rod, Thanks for those kind words. The car is a static model. Nothing is functional, however I did make the dogbox lever, fuel pump, brake lever and steering all moveable. In case you are interested, here are some of my other 1/4 scale cars I've collected. My Jeff Schmidt RC 1/4 scale Pacesetter sprintcar. Built August 1980 and never run. It's brand new and rare. Sat in a shop in Paterson New Jersey USA from 1980 till 1990, then in house in San Antonio Texas for 20 years, till I got hold of it in 2009.This car is a going RC model, however due to its rarity, it shall remain a shelf queen for ever! My current 1/4 scale sprintcar that I race on a dirt 1/4 scale speedway, here in Sydney..

Thought you guys might enjoy this. This Gilmer RC midget sold for near the asking price of US$4000 in a private sale this week in the USA. Even though these cars are RC ... they rarely ever get driven by their owners, as they are classed as museum pieces. This one is probably 20/25 years old ....and has never been started by its orignial owner. The mate of mine who purchased has said he will not run it either. The midget is powered by a 25cc 2 stroke Kawasaki and is belt driven. Jan Gilmer states that a top speed of 60 mph plus, is easily reached if one chooses to run it.
