I see that some new sections have been added to the group but I wonder why they're there because a lot of information in regard to cars, drivers, race circuits and so on already appears in various sections but it's possible that there is some progression or crossover from what's already up on the site is planned. I'm sure there's others like me who'd like to know more and what will be different to what we already have? But it's also good to see these actions because it prevents stagnation and keeps everyone on their toes. Thanks.

I hope I'm wrong but has the new sections feature hit the same buffers as this site's efforts to establish some guidelines for a UK Hall of Fame did a few years back?

But it's also good to see these actions because it prevents stagnation and keeps everyone on their toes. Thanks. What's trying to be done is set up specific places where key data about meetings - dates, drivers, cars if known, results, if known, can be collected and in due course this information be sifted, verified and turned into a definitive record of (intially) prewar British midget car racing. There have been several false starts but intially we have a number of posts of information which may replicate information that is posted or published elsewhere. Think of these as letter boxes just to post raw data, the key ones being date and place of meeting. I have undertaken to devise a a database to record information in a common searchable internet based form. The form of this will depend on the next version of the forum software which is to be upgraded soon. Probably we have jumped the gun a little but let's try and give it a go. Also my own knowledge of databases and free time is limited but I am sure it will happen eventually. Sorry for any confusion that may be caused.
