Just found this site I have the only Mk3 currently running but have never found any history. It used to run with an A35 grill on the front, anyone remember it?
Great to see you on the forum!
I've got a reasonable number of people from the early 70s on the newsletter email list so it might be worth me popping something about your car on there. The next one is nearly ready - just got to sort out some relevant photos.
Sorry I have not kept up to date with this site, I do have some photos of the Dastle Mk3 and a video of it at Wiscombe hillclimb. Not going very well at Wiscombe due to a misfire all day. These are attached. The car will be up for sale shortly as its not being used and needs some care. Will have to work out how to attach, watch this space.

When did Geoff Rumble, originator of the Dastle, last build one. Wasn't Geoff's last outing on a track in a practice session at Hackney about 1982 when he was there with John and Pete Smith, Tony Stubbs and Dermot McGivern. It was on a Saturday afternoon a week or so before the start of the speedway season. I was actually there to see the speedway riders at their practice. Up the Hawks! Gone but not forgotten - at least by me anyway. Now the old stadium is gone and is now land that's part of the Olympic Games site.

Hi all Sorry about lack of info re Dastle MK3, been very busy this year. Ive still got it as I was let down by purchaser. I see you wanted some detail. It was scrap when I got it and wrote it all up for Richard Neils Oval Track Classic magazine, I will try and dig out the original wording and publish it here. Photo was taken on the paddock at Wiscombe with me Dicky Nadin and a marshalling mate, its not quite as shiney now but I have just brought it home from its barn storage while I decide what to do with it, perhaps Chrystal Palace next May, I could exhibit and run in the event as well as it has an MSA logbook. Watch this space while I try to find the rebuild article which may not be possible due to computer change.

I know the organiser's of the 2013 Crystal Palace Motor Show are interested in showing midget cars - even static in the pits area. Anyone interested I can PM the organising secretary's email address. Cars from all eras - hopefully a Skirrow and/or Elto would be welcome, s well as any more modern midgets. Admin, Midget Car Panorama.
Hi All, Have got a new scanner so can supply a copy if the editor has no objections. I will be putting the car in the ads section as soon as I can get some up to date photos done. I did have two offers last year but one let me down after agreeing a price and the other locally wanted to mess it about with a bike engine in it. I wanted it to go to someone who would keep it as it is as its the only one so I kept it. If I don't hear from the editor of Oval Track Classic I will scan and post here.
