Is more known on this American car? Linkert/Elder M74B for The Drake Midget Racer One of the rarest Linkerts in existence ( and we have 2 ). This is a model M74B converted to a high pressure ( hand fuel pump) alcohol Elder fuel bowl. These were made for the Drake midget racers that ran Harley knucklehead motors converted to water cooled. These were popular little race cars from the 1930's up. Edgar Elder picked up the patterns in 1952 for the Drake engines. These carbs were his design and the Drake engine ran 2 of these. For an interesting little bit of history on these, see www.beautyofspeed.com/gallery/motor_drake/index.htm
