The history books show that legendary woman driver Fay Taylour was the first British midget car driver to race in South Africa. It was their 1938-39 season. In the late 1950s, there was a plan for Dave Hughes to take his Skirrow group there but that fell though.
The only other visit was by the GP Midget Car team about six years ago for a test match series against South Africa? Not sure offhand when it was - about 1999 maybe.
