Brighton 1950.jpeg[/img] I have no idea who the drivers are but fancy that one of them is probably Arch Hanscomb while another could be Wilf Davis. They were the Skirrow stars when this was taken at Brighton and Hove Stadium. Attachments:

Any idea if this 1950 meeting in Brighton was promoted by Charlie Dugard and is the location the Hove greyhound stadium which also staged speedway in the late 1920s? Was this a one-off midget car meeting or were there more?

Sunday Post, 6 August 1950 CAR DRIVERS HURT
After two cars had crashed in the finals of the first post-war British midget car racing championship at Hove (Sussex) yesterday the race was re-run. Two of the four cars, driven Arch. Hanscomb and Loll Taylor, had collided the first bend and overturned. Taylor though pinned underneath, escaped with bruises and cuts. Hanscomb. who was thrown clear, was carried off on stretcher with back injuries. Both were taken to hospital.
