I've just found this site. It looks interesting to me. As it's new I guess it will take time to develop but it looks on the right track. Midget cars are big time here in New Zealand where we have had visits by drivers from the USA and Australia over they years and pre-war and English guy 'Bronco' Bill Reynolds was also a big star. He was I think England's first midget car world champion. The New Zealand season for 2008-09 has just come to an end with Shane Alach winning the NZ Championship. The New Zealand TQ Midget Car Championship was won by Shane O'Conner whose brother Ryan was the winner a couple of summers back. I hope that more members of the site will put stuff on here because so many of the sites seem to have a lot of members who just read the words that get here but never seem to make a comment yet its good to get their views. As we've just about finished for the winter now there won't be a lot from New Zealand until about November when the season starts again but when I get anything watch out for me. Have a godo season in the UK and I look forward to reading something about your GP midgets which I think may be very similar to our TQ Midgets but I have never seen their specs so won't be too positive about that for the moment.

A reasonable amount of history of Midgets (and other class's) in New Zealand can be found on our site www.historicspeedway.co.nz It is listed in Links page on this site. I have enjoyed visiting this forum and hope it makes the grade among the many on line. Cheers, Midget91
