It has only just clicked with me, and maybe others too have found it difficult to keep up with new content.
In the menu bar at the top it says, after "Home", "New topics". This is a misnomer. When you open it is shows a list headed "Newest threads". This too is a misnomer. What it is is a list of Threads in the chronological order in which a post in that thread has been made. New threads are flagged.
The button on the main menu bar could most usefully say"New posts" because that is mainly the information it provides.
However, I have not yet found out how to see all posts in chronological order.
Regarding posting photos etc all you do is browse on your computer using the Attachment box below the Subject box when you create a message or reply to a post. No need to post to a photo website or insert your own url. The Attachment feature does all this.
However, check the file is less than the limit of 1024kByte (1.024MByte) The usual way of making it smaller is by opening it in a photediting program and saving it as a .jpg type file while selecting a smaller size for the saved file if that option is displayed. If is is not it the program's settings need to be adjusted.
If you are still trying to manage photos in Windows Explorer or "My pictures" try using one of many programs such as Picasa (free from Google) which makes traditional photoediting programs redundant for most of our purposes. I manage all my research material in Picasa including magazine pages which I just photograph now rather than scan.
Scan is still best for quality though.
Merry Christmas!
