I'm looking for anything to do with midget (light cars??) racing in Halifax in 1929 and maybe 1928 or 1930 at a place called Thrum Hall.

A bit obscure in car racing terms I'm afraid, third turn. My total "knowledge" amounts to no more than this very poor quality photo. I remember reading in Homes of British Speedway, that this is supposed to have been the first track to stage a 'floodlit' speedway meeting, but this apparently consisted of having barrels of burning oil or similar, simply placed around the outside of the track.
