Recently in a Sydney newspaper this article appeared.....

83 year old Dave Evans is in the final stage of restoring a Gilmore Racing Team Autocraft midget that A J Foyt raced successfully in Australia on the 1975 and '76 tours.The car was originally built for Mel Kenyon in 1973.
Evans bought the car as a wreck in 2002, paying AUS$20,000.
Wonder what it's worth now?

What a wonderful story and photo in regard to Dave Evans work rebuilding the great AJ Foyt's midget car.
Moving on from there - re Mel Kenyon. I seem to remember that in the late 1980s or early 1990s Kenyon had a very serious racing accident? Or is that recollection just a trick of mind on my part?
