Did a version of this car race in either the USA or UK? I conceded though it does seem to be topic defying our usually learned members on this site - for the moment at least. The photostat of the article about the car was excellent reading. Are there any more available on this subject.

I'm a bit surprised that no other member seems to know anything about the Lea Francis project in the late 1940s. It certainly was news to me and from the photos the car does look competitive.

Toby, I believe Ivan Dutton knows quite a bit about the Lea Francis midget cars and engines. He is in the USA at the moment but I will be seeing him on his return and will try to remember to ask him about it, as well as keeping him on-topic as far as possible!
