As I'm not getting any younger and need to get back out on the track a bit more before the years run out I'll reluctantly offer this one for sale. Believed to be an original Kurtis midget chassis #177 (though could be one of the numerous copies) Very pretty car fitted with Ford V8-60, Eddy Meyer alloy heads, Edmunds intake with twin Chandler Groves carbs, Belond headers, many repro alloy parts, three speed trans (also includes Ambler in-out box), Sandice axle, Franklin steering, Halibrand wheels etc. Last run in the early 1980's but looks fantastic and ideal for those with a large lounge, study or office! Only selling to finance alternative race programme so the price is firm at £10,000

Car is still for sale in fact for the first time since the opening ceromony at Rockingham Motor Speedway I have been pursuaded to dig it out of the garage and take it to the American themed Autumn Classic at Prescott hillclimb

"can it run on the road?"
I should think that in-out box might be a bit of a b***er in traffic but with a set of trade plates, you never know....over to you Ez!

It would be undrivable on the public road in "normal" condition, no gearbox as such, no starter, not much brakes.......

I know you CAN do it, but that would be the end of a valuable and interesting ra e car..........

I don't know about midgets Rod, but I've seen most everything else adapted, from Legends to F1 Stock Cars to Dodgems for heaven's sake. The point I was making is that, since the original question asked if it came with a trailer, there's no way you could just buy it and drive it home unmodified! And if you modified it to the extent that it became road legal, why then, you had it spot on mate - the ruination of a otherwise valuable and interesting car.
Actually, I'm just off to see if I can buy an ELTO and get it road legal - surely nobody behind me at the lights will mind giving me a little push will they? And that two stroke exhaust should sail through an emissions test...
