Certainly the Mk 7 is the best known, but it was not the first Dastle Midget, that seems to have been the Mk 3, then a Mk 5, then the Mk7, and a Mk 14 (Ben P has one of only two Mk14s built, and a Mk 18 waiting for rebuild) If anyone knows more about the Mk14, we would like to hear from you......

There's a lot of interesting stuff about the Dastle, not seen a word yet about Geoff Rumble! Doesn't he fit into the background of the Dastle somewhere?

Geoff Rumble built the Dastles, and raced them. His company now makes the "Dastle Racebox" trailers. The leaflet shown earlier, front page, the centre car was owned by me for about 14 years.

Absolutely right Rod, but I didn't mean the Mk V11 was the first (the name kind of gives it away) I meant that Dastle were the original and best of the most successful period of the modern post war era - clearly you're family can comment with complete authority pre war!
I will be posting more stuff about Geoff Rumble in due course.
