Does any member know about a late 1920s-early 1930s motorsport magazine called 'The Auto'?

I have been told the actual title was 'The Auto Motor Journal' and that it was published by New Era Publishing. It certainly circulated in the 1920s and early 1930s. If it carried on later, did it carry and news of the 1930s midget car scene. When did the magazine cease publication?

Hi John. 'Fraid I can't really tell you much more about this publication than you already know; that it existed and that it must have been 1920's-1930's. We have no complete copies here, but just the attached clipping concerning speedway at Greenford. This at least proves that the title, while suggesting it was about cars, was not above concerning itself with bikes too. Incidentally, that logo when examined closely actually says 'The Auto The Motorists Pictorial', so that was probably its proper title. The reverse of this clipping shows the price to have been 2D. For our younger readers, that means it would have cost rather less than 1p in today's money! Attachments:
