Attached is a photo of a couple of French midgets from the mid 50's. Originally Harley Davidson powered they were quite successful for a couple of years with some well known French drivers involved. The guy who sent me the photo was trying to sell me three about five years ago Attachments:

Interesting looking things Ez, but I don't think I'd want the job of restoring them - they look like they might have been on fire! Any idea what mechanicals (other than the Harley engines) they used, or where they were raced?

No, I did pass on these as they needed more than a lick of paint!!! They were only about half an hour from the French coast from memory. Also got sent a 2 page magazine feature though all in French - could have a go scanning onto here if you are interested. They certainly raced in Paris to quite big crowds Attachments:

I'd certainly be interested in seeing the article, although I should warn you that my schoolboy French isn't up to much, as I proved by buying Guy Curval's book and basically having to just look at the pictures!

Having dug article out I can work out 1 May 1958, 1200cc Indian engines, 4CV Renault, 220m track, 165kg and Harrry Schell who drove in Formula One. Scanning in each page comes to 8mb so I won't get far trying to post that!

Hah! I was just about to suggest that one of those wheels looks like 4CV.
No, you'll need to chop that down to something more managable Ez. If you don't know how to do that, I was going to suggest you e-mail it to me and I'll do it, but most servers won't stand for attachments that big either.
