Yes, that is correct. He drove the midget above, the 4wd Skirrow to victory over 30 laps non stop in a time of 9 minutes, 24 seconds. He led home Americans Paul Swedberg and Beale Simmons and Australian champion Jimmy McMahon, who would later lose his life driving midgets in America in 1947.

Photos Bill Reynolds let me copy many years ago. I only have notes on what some of them are. The pic with the Skirrow and lots of dust was labelled Crystal Palace 1938 and Planet News. The photo top left is Coventry 1938. The photo with the Skirrow on the outside is Penrith Speedway west of Sydney 1939 with Frank Kleinig's Hudson on the inside. Attachments:

I have now posted my copies of 27 Bill Reynolds photos at the following address where it is more widely accessible than on this forum: picasaweb.google.com/terrywrightcooper/BillReynoldsPersonalPhotos?authke\y=Gv1sRgCM6pjaeVkJa1tQE&feat=directlink. The captions are limited to information Bill gave me plus my own knowledge of his Cooper. I am happy to expand the captions based on input from anyone via this or other forums. I have no objection to individual photos being downloaded to forums by others for discussion. Terry Wright

Either you do not have access to these photos, or they don't exist at this web address. Please contact the owner directly to gain access." What's happening please?

I tried the first link just by clicking but it didn't work. I then cut and pasted it into the browser and it came up. The second link worked beautifully.

Definitely a Skirrow John and I'd go further, the same car in both pics. Bill is also wearing a tie in both shots - excellent!
