Former world champion Andy Collins in his front engine midget car. Andy was a devotee of this type of midget for the GP class.

This is actually Andy's Superstox. He came to Midgets from Karts and then moved into Supers followed by Classic Hot Rods, Two Litre Hot Rods and currently Oval Legends.
An Admin red face over this. I'll take the photo down and replace it as soon I get one of Andy Collins with his front-engine midget. If any forum member can help me, please send the photo to: speedstox12@yahoo.com Many thanks. Admin, Midget Car Panorama.
:::: The wrong photo has now been deleted and replaced with Andy Collins racing his front-engine midget car. Admin, Midget Car Panorama.

Nice one! Andy raced an Arrow first - I am fairly sure he bought it off Simon Hiles after the Midgets were on in the Autosport Show live action arena. After that Andy raced a Dastle type 18 then a front engine Fireball mk3 and finally the Gazelle pictured above. He won the World Championship with that car too. He was the first English driver to win the World Championship in a front engine car as well.

It depends on who you ask Martin it was more Westfield than mine was haha, it was the car that was bought from you Martin but was raced under the Gazelle name when Andy had it as i think John Lowe had some input to it which im guessing is why it ended up with the Gazelle tag. Richard wasn't Andy's last car the ex Steve Piggies Dastle MK18 after the Westfield/Gazelle was sold to Martin Lamb? i remember every one had clocked that he had changed the trailer when Matin Lamb test drove the car which i think was at Birmingham and put it in the wall on the last lap of one of the races, i know Martin Lamb then raced the car for couple of seasons then it was sold to a guy who wanted to make a light weight stock car which he saw sense then i changed hands a few times being robbed of parts along the way, i bought the remains Chassis and body work) years ago the chassis has been used to rebuild my car after as the chassis was bit to bent for my likings and didn't handle very well after a very hard rear end shunt at buxton after i stalled on the line and got hit at race speeds
